Lavrion Technological Park
Lavrion Technological Park
The Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park (LTCP) operates on the premises of the former Lavrion mines of the former Compagnie française des mines de Laurium, which was built in 1875-1876.
The park covers an area of 245 acres and includes 41 buildings. It has been declared a preserved monument in its entirety, with its equipment in situ.
It was granted by the Ministry of Culture to the National Technical University of Athens in 1992, and the first building restorations were carried out until 2000. At the same time, extensive decontamination of soils and buildings from the residues of industrial activity took place.
Today, the LTCP hosts high-tech companies and laboratories, educational and research programs, and cultural events.
